The woman, who is in her 30s, was reportedly knocked unconscious for a short time after reportedly falling from the horse during a jump in a field off Abbey View Road, Pinvin, near Pershore, at around 11.45am yesterday.
The horse had then rolled over the woman, who also suffered a head injury and back pain in the incident.
An ambulance and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham attended the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: "Crews assessed the woman and she had suffered pain in her back and a head injury and had also reportedly been knocked unconscious for a short time.
“The woman was immobilised before being airlifted to Worcester Royal Hospital for further assessment and treatment.”
