COMMUNITY-minded people in Worcester turned out in force for a family fun day.
Up to 400 people went to the Brickfields community day held on the King George V playing fields and enjoyed a whole host of entertainment.
Mayor of Worcester, Councillor Roger Berry , opened the event.
Worcester city councillor Allah Ditta was also at the event.
The day, which was funded by Nexus Housing, was held to raise awareness of two groups – ASPIE (Adults with Asperger's Syndrome) and the Make Friends community group.
Visitors enjoyed Caribbean food, stalls, a farmers’ market, a bungee trampoline and music from traditional Irish group Dublin Jacks, Jamma Steel Band and the Primrose Choir.
Children also enjoyed an old fashioned roundabout.
Organiser Jenny Manchester said: “We thought it would be a good idea to put on a community fun day. We wanted it to highlight the two groups and raise awareness for people.”
