JEWELLERY worth more than £400 has been stolen from a house while the owners were away for the weekend.


It happened between 11am on Friday and 4pm yesterday, in Dilmore Lane, Fernhill Heath.


Thieves broke into the property and stole several items of jewellery including a silver Tiffany necklace worth £100, a Tiscot silver watch worth £250 and a set of Bjorg silver earrings worth £60.
 

PC Rich Rees said: "We are eager to hear from anyone who remembers seeing any suspicious activity in the area over the weekend.


"We would also like to hear from anyone who may have been offered items of jewellery for sale similar to those stolen."


Residents are reminded to take whatever security measures possible before going away.
