POLICE have released an e-fit of a man they would like to trace following reports of a suspicious caller in Worcester.

On Wednesday, July 11, a man entered a house on Arundel Drive, Batthenall, after the front door is believed to have been left open.

The elderly householder was sitting in her lounge at around 2.15pm when a man put his head round the door and stated that he had come to test the water pressure.

A neighbour then called at the house and asked the man what he was doing, at which point he pushed past the neighbour and left the property.
Nothing was stolen during the incident.

Detective Constable Pete Ryland from Worcester CID said: "The man who called at Arundel Drive did not have any identification on him and judging by his reaction at being confronted by the neighbour, we believe his reason for being at the house may not have been entirely genuine.

"We are releasing this e-fit of a man who was seen in the area of Arundel Drive at around the time the suspicious caller visited the house. He may have vital information about the incident which could help us with our investigation.

"If you recognise or think you know who this man is, then please contact us as soon as possible. Alternatively, if you recognise this image as being yourself then we also need to hear from you so that we can eliminate you from our inquiries."
