AN adventurous cameraman will be capturing an epic motor rally on the other side of the world in the experience of a lifetime.

Nick Munro Turner is taking part in the Inca Rally to raise cash for charities in South America.

The rally, which started yesterday in Lima, Peru, will last three weeks. Partici-pants will cover 8,000km.

The drivers are heading north through the mountains of Ecuador and crossing the equator into the tropical forests of Colombia and Venezuela before dipping into Brazil and finishing off at Georgetown, Guyana. As the rally’s videographer Mr Munro Turner, aged 22 of Malvern, is responsible for documenting this journey.

He said: “I’m really thrilled about being a part of the rally, but also about the opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of the people we are supporting through our charities.”

The rally will raise money for a number of South American charities, including Incawasi, Every Child and Survival, which will help those who struggle against poverty in the region. It is the brainchild of social entrepreneur Juan Herrada, who contacted Mr Munro Turner after he read his blog about a previous trip to Peru.

Mr Munro Turner said: “I found out more about the rally and what a unique adventure and charitable project it was and fell in love with the places I was writing about and so I asked how I could get more involved.

“I mentioned my filming activities and my YouTube channel and we decided that I should go along with them and document the trip.”
