- ARMED police have reportedly stormed a Worcestershire road. Eye witnesses have told the Worcester News that around 12 police cars and 24 armed officers shut down Elgar Avenue in Malvern at around 1pm today. They said the armed police appeared to be negotiating with people inside the propery and it is thought there may have been a gun inside the house. Elgar Avenue is currently still closed to the public.

Police comment:
"Officers are currently in Elgar Avenue in Malvern following a report of a man seen with a gun. It is believed that this is an isolated incident between parties known to each other and that there is no threat to the general public. People living in Elgar Avenue are asked to heed the advice of officers at the scene while the incident is being investigated. No arrests have been made so far."

From a Facebook user: armed police outside my flat not allowing any resident into their houses. Slightly annoying that people who have been at work can't get to their homes
