TWO Taylor Wimpey Midlands site managers from Worcestershire are among six of the company’s employees to win National House Building Council Pride in the Job quality awards.
Andy Shaw is site manager at Diglis Water in Worcester and Bob Flanagan is a site manager in Evesham, and they beat more than 13,000 entrants from across the country.
They are among a group of 400 site managers who will go through to the next round of the competition, the Seal of Excellence Awards.
The other Taylor Wimpey winners were senior site managers Peter Cotsford in Coventry, Julian Foster in Warwick, Rob Dennant in Telford and Chris Gunn in Northampton.
They have been presented with the award, which recognises a site manager’s dedication to building high-quality homes for new home buyers.
Mr Shaw said: “Only 40 NHBC awards were presented across the West Midlands area so we’re delighted to be taking home more than 10 per cent of them.
“Each of our teams takes great pride in what they do and we work extremely hard to ensure the homes we build are completed to the highest possible standards.
“We’re all delighted to have reached this stage of the competition and that we are being recognised by the industry in this way.”
