STAFF at Droitwich Spa Lido have received a “heartfelt” donation from members of its friends group.
They have bought a defibrillator following the fund-raising efforts of Friends of the Droitwich Spa Lido members.
Staff have undergone training and will be able to use the lifesaving machine on swimmers and people nearby who suffer from a heart attack.
Friends chairman Sheila Preston said “It gave us all great pleasure to be able to give the Lido the money to purchase this lifesaving piece of equipment.”
Lido manager Rob Dufty thanked the friends for purchasing the defibrillator as well as a new PA system and flowers for the lido.
The next event held by the friends will be a jazz evening on the October 19.
