A NATIONAL Trust estate near Bromyard will be turning back the clock to the days of Elizabeth I with a day of period costume, dancing and food.

Historical re-enactors Gloriana will be lending an air of authenticity to the Elizabethan Times event at the Brockhampton estate on Sunday, August 19.

They will be performing in full costume and offering visitors the chance to dance just like a Tudor courtier, while families will also be able to dress up in costume, make pomanders and try writing with a quill and ink.

There will also be music and displays of Tudor food and herbs. The event runs from 11am to 4pm and normal admission charges apply.
