A former Worcester licensee has been remanded on bail to await sentence at Worcester Crown Court on an assault charge.
Dean Awford pleaded guilty to causing actual bodily harm to Mark Satchell by assaulting him at the Pig and Drum on December 14.
Awford, aged 45, of College Precinct, Worcester, was also charged with wounding and common assault but prosecutor Alex Warren offered no evidence and not guilty pleas were entered.
He said that the victim was reluctant to give evidence.
Defence counsel Iain Suggett said the parties involved were reconciled in their relationship and there had been no further trouble.
Awford had only one previous conviction and that was for drink-driving.
Awford is to appear for sentence on Friday, August 31, after a probation report.
