City reveller worse for wear

The woman was taken to hospital for further treatment The woman was taken to hospital for further treatment

POLICE and paramedics were called to Worcester city centre after concern for the welfare of a female club-goer after she appeared to be heavily intoxicated.

At about midnight yesterday, officers and West Midlands Ambulance Service went to the scene outside the Metro Bar in St Nichloas Street where the young lady appeared to be stuggling.

A West Midlands Police spokeswoman said medics took her to hospital for further treatment.

Police also asked revellers to move on after a “disagreement” with door staff at Metro bar at about that time.

The incidents were not related, said the spokeswoman.

spider666 ;; ok maybe that happened but the tazpayer is NOT responsible for YOUR actions, but it doesnt happen to everyone in this culture we have of getting off your head and creating anti social behaviour etc which involves taxpayers paying for YOUR own stupidity, sometimes causing YOU serious alcohol poisoning and then sometimes damage to property, fighting in the streets, you get my drift?

Ok go out have a great time, i like to but dont put yourself out of your head you dont know whats happened as when you land in court the old I WAS DRUNK M'LORD doe's not get my sympathy. You should get the bill then you would think twice.

yes i agree with you completely, people need to be made responsible for their own actions if it is entirely self inflicted,Maybe just maybe if they were made to pay for the entire cost of police/paramedic/hos
pital staff and then total court costs and a fine on top some would certainly think twice before going out and getting bladdered.Getting yourself drunk should not be an excuse,my previous comment was merely to point out the attitude of presumed guilty before the facts are know and yes i've done it myself in the past so it wasn't a go at you personally.

As long as she learns from the experience! It must be difficult being perfect.

No offence taken Spider666, its all about opinions on here and i just wish the MPs would take on board peoples opinions on this instead of ignoring it and trying to penalise everyone for the stupidity of the minority.

@mayall8808 - taxes don't pay for everything, some services are provided by volunteers and charities. Speaking for myself I'm sure we have all had a time once in our lives when we didn't forsee the results of our actions... like Ceci9995 says not everyone is perfect!

It is hardly newsworthy though - incidents like these are two a penny and nothing to shout about if we are trying to promote the city!
