FLORAL tributes have been left at the spot where a teenage cyclist was killed as he cycled along the pavement near Droitwich.
Anthony Phillips, of Bromsgrove, died in hospital after the BMX bicycle he was riding was involved in a collision with a blue Kia Picanto on the A38 outside the Chateau Impney Hotel on Friday.
The former North Bromsgrove High School pupil is believed to have been cycling along the pavement when the Picanto, travelling away from Droitwich, appeared to mount the path before colliding with him.
After receiving medical attention at the scene, the 18-year-old was airlifted to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, where he died the following day.
As well as flowers at the scene, his friends have set up a tribute page to the music-loving teenager, who worked as a mobile DJ, on Facebook .
