A SIXTH former found dead at his family home was "popular, dedicated and hard-working" teachers have said.

Ryan Annetts was found hanging from a tree in the garden at the address in Napleton Lane in Kempsey on Wednesday, August 22.

He was just 17, and attended Hanley Castle High School near Malvern.

Lindsay Cooke, Hanley Castle High School headteacher, said: "The entire school community has been stunned by the untimely death of Ryan.

"He was a popular and hard working member of our sixth form.

"We are all trying to come to terms with this tragedy and our thoughts are with his family and friends."

The county's coroners has been informed and an inquest has been opened and adjourned.

Terribly tragic. What drives a young man to take his own life like that when he had his whole life in front of him? My thoughts go out to the young man's family and friends.

My sentiments exactly --- whatever the reason it is a shame he did not seek help but when you are in that frame of mind i would imagine logical thinking is the last thing you do.I hope the family soon come to terms with what has happened and do not blame themselves.Tragic story. R.i.p young man
