A WOMAN been seriously hurt after she was hit by a car.
The crash happened at about 9.40am this morning on Teme Street in Tenbury Wells.
The lady, in her 60s, suffered a serious leg injury, cuts and a suspected broken arm, and was airlifted from the scene by the Midlands Air Ambulance and taken to Birmingham’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “On arrival crews found a woman who had reportedly been in collision with a car and was lying on the ground.
“The woman was fully assessed by the crews who found she had sustained a cut to her head, a suspected fractured arm and a serious injury to her leg.
“Working as a team, the ambulance crews immobilised her with a neck collar and spinal board, placed her arm in a splint to keep it supported and dressed a nasty wound on her leg before she was airlifted to the QE’s major trauma centre, for further treatment.
“No one else was injured.”
