A GROUP of Malvern joggers braved wet bank holiday weather to complete a 16-mile pubathon around the Malvern Hills and raise much-needed funds for St Richard’s Hospice.

The runners started at the Nag’s Head and their route took in the Foley Arms, the Brewer’s Arms, the Wyche Inn, the Chase Inn, the Malvern Hills Hotel, the Marlbank at Upper Welland, the Swan at Hanley Swan, the Bluebell at Guarlford, the Morgan, the Foresters, the Gloucester Arms and the Prince of Wales. The task was taken very seriously by a bunch of very thirsty joggers, and in each location, a drink or two was sunk and the collection cans for the hospice came out.

The Malvern Joggers pubathon has become an annual event for the local running club, with a chosen charity benefitting each year.

The joggers meet every Wednesday for informal running. For more information visit malvernjoggers.co.uk.
