MEMBERS of a judo club from Droitwich’s German twin have paid a visit to the town. Youngsters from Bad Ems Judo Club came for a two-week stay.

The team of 55 stayed at Amphlett House, Worcester Road, and slept on judo mats provided by their counterparts from the Droitwich Spa Judo Kan club.

The visitors also trained with the Spa-based club and enjoyed a walking tour of Droitwich Spa and a trip to the lido.

The German youngsters were also taken to sites across the region and met mayor Councillor Anne Taft. Finally, they went to watch judo at the London Olympics.
