VISITORS to a museum in Worcester had the chance to see how an RAF emergency operations room would have worked during the Battle of Britain.

About 300 people visited the 1940s exhibition at Tudor House Museum, Friar Street. Events manager Judy Pass said: “Everyone really enjoyed it because they could handle things and get involved instead of standing back.

“We had a lot of families and a lot of older people who had worked in these type of rooms. We had grandfathers turn up with their grandchildren to show them what they used to do.”

The next event at the museum will be a Heritage Open Day on Saturday from 10am to 4pm.
