ANYONE who went down to St John’s Library, Worcester, was in for a big surprise.
For nearly every teddy bear that ever there was gathered there for a teddy bear’s picnic and some reading fun.
Youngsters and their furry friends enjoyed stories, rhymes and a treasure hunt during the afternoon, which was held as part of Worcestershire County Council ’s summer reading challenge.
The project is a national reading initiative encouraging children to read more and use their libraries.
