Reporter Richard Vernalls is back in the office now.

Latest from the police is the man is still on the roof.

Officers are still at the scene in force trying to talk him down.

Friar Street and Union Street are still closed to all traffic.

Richard will be making calls to West Mercia Police until 5pm, then he'll hand over to one of his colleagues.

He'll also round up the story for you tomorrow morning, adding some new pictures and taking in any comments from the police.

Police say the man climbed up to the roof as a result of a "domestic incident" in Friar Street, that they were called to shortly after noon.

Officers are attempting to negotiate a "peaceful resolution".

Officers have attempted to make contact with the shirtless man through a loud haler but he is said to not be responding to them.

Police have been called to Wyatts Mews, off Union Street, after reports of a man on the roof of the buildings, who is refusing to come down.

He has been arrested now. Poor guy was terrified. The police did an excellent job :D well done to the negotiator
