A WORCESTER man is on cloud nine after proposing to his long-term girlfriend following a charity skydive.
The sky was the limit for 45-year-old Phil Heath when he planned his romantic proposal to Jeannette Ford, his partner of four years.
Mr Heath, of Warndon Villages, who works for the Plumb Center, jumped out of a plane to raise money for Acorns before getting down on one knee in front of about 40 friends and family.
The couple knew each other from passing in Worcester but love really blossomed after Mr Heath’s bride-to-be approached him in Tesco Warndon where she works on customer services.
“We’ve been living together for three years,” said the father-of-one. “I’ve always dreamed about it. I just thought I could do something different.
“It was a really amazing day. I think it was more nerve-wracking asking Jeannette to marry me than the skydive. “I was confident she would say yes but you never know.”
A date for the wedding is yet to be set but Mr Heath said they would probably opt for a more traditional wedding with close friends and family.
