CCTV appeal following phone shop break-in
5:26pm Monday 10th September 2012 in News By Tarik Al Rasheed
Polic have released this CCTV image of the man they want to question.
POLICE want to speak to this man about a burglary that saw thousands of pounds of stock stolen from a Worcester city centre phone shop.
The Three store, in the High Street, was burgled between 8.30-8.45pm back on April 10. However police have yet to catch whoever was responsible and today issued this CCTV image taken at the time.
It is believed the thieves had managed to acquire a set of keys which they used to enter through the front door of the shop. Police have also confirmed details of a dark VW Golf car used by the offenders, which they believe to be connected to people from the Quinton and Shard End suburbs of Birmingham.
DC Vanessa Haller, who is leading the investigation, said: “Evidence from the scene shows that the vehicle was driven by a black man and it is thought another black man and also a white man were involved in the burglary.
“In particular, we would like to trace the man in this CCTV image who may have vital information which could help us with our investigation.”
Anyone who recognises him should call DC Heller on 0300 333 3000, quoting 585S 100412, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
