Six people rescued from minibus crash
SIX elderly people were rescued from a minibus following a crash with a van near Evesham.
Fire fighters from Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service (HWFRS) were called to Hinton on the Green just before 12.25pm today to rescue the group who were trapped in the minibus.
Two fire crews from Evesham and the Incident Support Unit from Droitwich attended along with police and paramedics.
The crash involved a small van and a minibus in a narrow lane in the village. Firefighters used a winch to release the door and free the passengers, who were then checked by ambulance staff at the scene.
No one was injured in the crash.
Crew Commander Chris Pirt from HWFRS said: “The minibus passengers were fairly shaken by their experience but thankfully no one involved is believed to have suffered any serious injuries.”
