A DAREDEVIL grandfather is set to prove that age is just a number when he jumps out of a plane at 10,000ft.

Douglas Moseley, aged 82, will take on a skydive in aid of Leukaemia Care at an airfield in Cirencester on September 29.

The pensioner, from Langley Road, Droitwich, hopes to raise at least £1,000 for the charity which is close to his heart.

“I had leukaemia a few years ago and the charity was very good to me and my family. I now want to give something back. I’m 82 so can’t do a marathon and don’t like cycling, so this was the easy way out.

“My family thought I’d gone mad when I told them what I was going to do.” Anyone wanting to boost his fund-raising efforts can visit mydonate.bt.com/ fundraisers/dougmoseley1 or call Leukaemia Care at 01905 755977.
