IT is not every day that a grandfather of 13 takes to the skies and jumps out of a plane.
But Doug Moseley, above, has made an exception to raise money for a charity very close to his heart.
The 82-year-old, who lives in Droitwich, is doing a skydive at Cirencester Airfield on Saturday, September 29 to raise funds for Leukaemia Care.
A former Rotarian and chairman of Droitwich Round Table, Mr Moseley said he wanted to give something back to the charity after suffering with the disease himself about four years ago.
“They were very good to me when I had a bad spell,” he said. “I thought I would put something back in the kitty. At 82 I can’t run marathons so I thought it would be the best thing to do. It’s daft I know.” To donate visit mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/dougmoseley1.
