THE woman who died in a crash near Kidderminster on Tuesday has been named by police.
Natasha Kew, aged 21, of High Street, Wordsley, Stourbridge, died when the Renault Clio she was driving lost control and overturned before hitting a Peugeot van travelling in the opposite direction on the A449 at Cookley at about 5.45am.
She was confirmed dead at the scene by paramedics and a post mortem is due to be held on Friday and an inquest will then be opened by Worcestershire Coroner Geraint Williams.
The driver of the van was not injured in the collision which closed the road until late afternoon.
Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to call the Force Operational Support Team at Rubery Police Station on the non-emergency number 101, quoting incident reference 56-S-180912.
