A REMEMBRANCE service has been held in Evesham to mark the 72th anniversary of the Battle of Britain.
The Evesham branch of the Royal Air Force Association hosted the annual service at Waterside Cemetery.
About 40 people turned out and during the service, a wreath was laid and crosses were placed on graves.
Robin Phillips, secretary of Evesham RAFA, said: “We did something a bit different this year by placing the crosses.
Next year, we hope some young people will come along. It’s better than a history lesson. The main thing is to remember and pass that on to the next generation.”
