A CELEBRITY guest judge and her prize pooch caused a stir at a Worcester family fun day and dog show.

Pippa Longhorne, with her dog Buddy, from Britain’s Got Talent was at Worcester Woods Country Park with Buddy as a judge in some of the dog classes.

The show, which also included 15 stalls, face painting, a bouncy castle and a fire engine, raised more than £1,300 for the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association.

The annual event, hosted by Brentknoll Veterinary Centre in Worcester, was hailed one of the best they’ve ever had by practice manager Barbara Kirk.

“It went really well,” she said. “It was very popular. We’ve had the most classes we’ve had. We’ve been running them [the show] for the last eight years and it was one of the best we’ve ever had.

“I think what contributed to it was the weather.

“Pippa was very well received. It was fantastic, we kept getting a lot of feedback from people.”

The winner of best in show was cocker spaniel Oban.
