TWO more people are being held in connection with a police murder probe into a fatal flat fire.

Officers from West Mercia Police swooped on an address in Drake Avenue in Dines Green at 6.30am, today.

The arrests are in connection with the murder of Andrew Heath, aged 52, who died in a suspected arson attack on his first-floor flat at Chedworth Close in Warndon in December last year.

Today, West Mercia Police said: "At about 6.30am today at an address in Drake Avenue, Dines Green, a man in his 20s was arrested on suspicion of murder along with a woman in her 20s on suspicion of perverting the course of justice." 

Both are currently being held in custody at Redditch Police Station.

Meanwhile, four other people remain in custody after police swooped on three addresses in Worcester, on Tuesday morning.

A 23-year-old man from the Ronkswood area is still being held at Kidderminster Police Station on suspicion of murder, after being re-arrested in the city at about 7am, yesterday.

A woman in her 40s, a woman in her 20s and another man in his 20s also remain in custody after being arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of  justice.

They are being held at Worcester Police Station.

The new arrests take the total number of people interviewed under caution as part of the investigation to 15, with six arrests - one of those a re-arrest - in the past 36 hours.
