A MOTORCYCLIST was airlifted to hospital after a crash at a crossroad in village near Evesham this morning.

The man in his 50s sustained a severe injury to his right knee and pain to his hip after his Yamaha YBR125 was involved in an accident with a Vauxhall Corsa at 7.08am at the intersection of Evesham Road and Station Road, in Offenham.

After being given pain relief and fully stabilised at the scene he was taken to the Queen Elizabeth hospital in Birmingham by the Midland Air Ambulance from Strensham.

The driver of the Corsa didn’t suffer any injuries and police remained on the scene until about 8am.

A rapid response vehicle and an ambulance also attended the accident.
