Stage your event in the old library

SPACE: The former library which is being made available for people to use.
THE former library in Foregate Street, Worcester, can be used as exhibition space before a new owner is found.
The ground floor area of the Worcester City Art Gallery and Museum could also play host to lectures, special events and meetings.
It was occupied for many years by the city library before it moved to the Hive earlier this year.
Worcester City Council is working with property consultancy Harris Lamb to find a permanent occupier for the space but until then has decided to make it available for people, companies and societies to use.
A city council spokesman said: “Worcester people know this space very well from its long service as the city library, so this is a great opportunity for them to use it for their own events. It boasts marble floors and columns to a first floor galleried landing, and is a beautifully lit, open-plan area with windows letting in light from every direction. “With the art gallery and museum on the first floor bringing in large numbers of visitors every day, it’s a space that will always attract lots of attention.”
Anyone interested in booking the former library space should contact Angie Bishop at the museum on abishop2@ worcestershire.gov.uk or on 01905 25371.
