NOT everyone can boast of having received a thank you letter from the Prime Minister.
But Charlotte Jarman, a 20-year-old student from Rous Lench, near Evesham, is someone that can. After a stint as a gamesmaker during the Olympics she was personally thanked by David Cameron in a letter sent to her home.
In the letter the former pupil of Prince Henry’s High School, Evesham, who currently studies events management at Leeds Metropolitan University, was congratulated for being one of the ‘truly inspiring’ people who gave their time for the London 2012 games.
Miss Jarman, pictured above at the boxing venue, said: “It was amazing to get involved with an event that will go down in history.
“There were many highlights. One of the most notable points was the incredible atmosphere and support behind Team GB. I was also lucky enough to see Anthony Joshua and Anthony Ogogo qualify during one of my shifts, whilst boxing legends Lennox Lewis and Amir Khan were watching in the area next to me."
