Four people charged in relation to the Andrew Heath flat fire have been remanded

FOUR people held in connection with the Andrew Heath murder probe have been remanded in custody at the crown court.

Daniel Martin, aged 23, of Canterbury Road in Ronkswood, Worcester, is accused of the murder of 52-year-old Mr Heath, after he was killed in a suspected arson attack on his city flat last year.

His mother Teresa Martin, aged 44, of Rodborough Close, his sister, Sarah Martin, aged 26, of Rodborough Drive, and her partner 28-year-old Matthew Davies, also of Rodborough Drive, are all charged with perverting the course of justice.

All four appeared at the crown court today, and were remanded into custody by Judge Robert Juckes, QC, following at a preliminary hearing of the case.

Further hearings have been scheduled.

Mr Heath was killed in a blaze at his first-floor flat on December 14, 2011.
