Pershore mayor meets next political generation

Pershore mayor Charles Tucker with members of the town’s youth council during a meeting at Pershore High School.
PERSHORE mayor Charles Tucker has welcomed in the next generation of local politicians.
He met the town’s youth council at Pershore High School, and among them is Madeline Hall, aged 17, who was nominated to be the new youth mayor, said: “I was on the youth council last year.
“That experience and what I learnt inspired me to become the new mayor.
“We have monthly meetings and we discuss issues that affect not just the youth of the town but everyone.
“We are about to begin organising the Christmas lights switch on, which really brings everyone in the town together.”
