Disney sticker thief "needs to grow up"
A MAN stole two boxes of Disney stickers after falling “prey to temptation” as he passed a Worcester convenience store.
Oliver Fearnall, aged 20, of Wylds Lane, Worcester, admitted stealing the items, worth £50, from the One Stop shop in St Peter’s when he appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court.
Sarah Stock, prosecuting, said two officers’ attention was drawn to Fearnall at about 2.10pm on September 15 because he was riding his bike while wearing black clothing, including a hood over his face.
She said: “He pedalled off as fast as he could trying to evade contact with them and kept looking back to see if they were following him.
“He dropped his bike as if to run, but stopped when asked.”
Mrs Stock said Fearnall was carrying a torch, gloves and two boxes of stickers, which were marked with a delivery sticker, and was arrested.
When questioned, Mrs Stock said Fearnall claimed the stickers were his friend's then said he got them from a Tesco charity box, before admitting stealing them.
As they drove past the One Stop shop, he told officers “that’s where I got them from”.
Mrs Stock said when officers attended the scene they found a green metal box which had been forced open.
Mark Lister, defending, said Fearnall, who is currently on license after being released from prison on July 23, was passing the shop when he “fell prey to temptation”.
He said: “He is making progress on his license.
“On the one hand you’ve got a young man who suffers from ADHD, who is engaging well with the probation service as he’s told to, but on the other hand is committing what can only be described as stupid offences.
“He is a young man who needs to get out of this cycle of offending.
His girlfriend is pregnant. He needs to effectively grow up.”
Fearnall was sentenced to 12 weeks in prison, suspended for two years, with two years supervision and 80 hours of unpaid work.
He must also pay £85 costs.

It is disturbing to read that this pathetic criminal who also has ADHD is procreating! No wonder our country is going down the pan.
