A MAN has been airlifted to hospital after a crash involving a car and motorbike.

The shunt happened at the junction of Somers Park Avenue and Howsell Road in Malvern at 10.52am, on Saturday, October 6.

All the emergency services attended, including two crews from Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service’s Malvern station, nearby.

Firefighters assisted paramedics and police at the scene and made the vehicles safe, including shutting off the fuel supplies to the engines.

A fire brigade spokesman said: “A male was taken to hospital by the Midlands Air Ambulance.”

Wondered what the helicopter was doing over my house.

I see it's the mini roundabout. I've nearly been taken out there on my bike several times by people driving straight across on Somers Park without looking.
