The first I Will wedding show at Dumbleton Hall Hotel, near Evesham, was a great success, with more than 75 brides and grooms-to-be visiting the historic venue in the autumn sunshine.

Visitors were able to browse stands displaying everything from flowers to sweets to venue dressing in the 19th-century manor house and in a marquee in the beautiful gardens, while the 35 exhibitors appreciated the hotel’s hospitality.

Everyone was treated to a complimentary glass of wine courtesy of Majestic Wines of Stourbridge, and there was also the chance to enter a prize draw to win a dream dress from Bridal Boutique of Worcester, sponsor of the I Will events.

Karen Hughes, of wedding planning company EVENT, was especially pleased with the day’s success.

“Dumbleton is a beautiful venue and I had lots of positive enquiries, with visitors genuinely interested in my services,” she said. “I’ve been exhibiting at the I Will shows for about three years, and in my experience they are the best organised fairs I’ve attended, with the best results.”

The I Will wedding shows – run by the people behind local newspapers such as the Worcester News – bring together an array of services under one roof.

This means couples and their families and friends can spend a relaxed and enjoyable day collecting ideas and contacts to help create the perfect wedding.
