A NUMBER of books about Worcester Porcelain have been sold back to the museum after being donated to the city’s Oxfam bookshop.
The books were donated to the shop a couple of months ago by the family of photographer John Beckerley, to whom they are dedicated.
Most of the books are written by antiques expert Henry Sandon, who has also signed them, and are no longer in print.
Shop manager Amanda Bonnick said following the donation they researched the books before deciding to sell them to the porcelain museum for £250.
She said: “It’s lovely to have such a complete collection in such good condition.”
Museum director Amanda Savidge said the books would be sold in the museum’s shop, which raises money to keep the museum going.
She said: “These will be highly sought after by collectors.”
