Bike death-crash victim named

A WOMAN who died following a crash between a motorbike and a car has been named.

Diana Burgess, aged 40, of Evesham, was declared dead at the scene on the A46 between Beckford and Ashton-under-Hill, near the Worcestershire-Gloucestershire border, on Tuesday morning.

The driver of the Peugeot, a man in his 40s from Bristol, was unharmed. He was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been released on bail until December.

The incident happened at about 9.45am. The crash led to road closures and local diversions and the A46 was re-opened at 1.40pm.
