A 16-year-old had sex with a woman almost twice his age to stop her pestering his young friends, Worcester Crown Court was told.

The youth, who was 15 at the time, said he agreed to intercourse and a sex act with 31-year-old Amanda Wheeler because she was harassing his companions at a late-night party.

Wheeler, of Goodrest Walk, Barbourne, Worcester, denies one charge of sexual assault and five of sexual activity with children.

The offences are alleged to have taken place at a birthday party in November last year. Wheeler was described as drunk when she started a suggestive lap dancing routine in the kitchen.

The youth, giving evidence on the fourth day of the trial, said she had begun hugging him and putting her hands inside his clothing. He reminded her that she had a husband and family but she dragged him outside to a passageway where they had sex.

When a girl suddenly appeared on the scene, she pretended she was being sick.

He said he had been corresponding with Wheeler on Facebook when he had lied about his age, adding a year on. Cross-examined by Samantha Forsyth, defending, he said he had not been drinking and got to the party soon after 10.30pm. He could smell drink on Wheeler and it was obvious she was very drunk. Her antics were making everybody laugh.

He denied that he had tried to put his hand up her skirt as she was dancing. One of his friends had told her to sit down and sober up.

The trial continues.
