A school in Worcester has waved goodbye to its site manager after 20 years.
Bob Wilson, aged 65, has retired from Warndon Infants and Junior Schools, which have merged to form Warndon Primary.
Year 6 teacher Lynda Morgan said Mr Wilson had been presented with a bird fountain from the children and cash gifts from the staff.
He had donated a giant redwood tree to the school, which was fitting, as one of his most important jobs was looking after the grounds.
"Most of the children's memories were him on the roof rescuing balls. He would throw down 50," she said. "He was the most conscientious, friendly caretaker the school could wish to have.
