A PLACE in the Guinness Book of World Records awaits Worcestershire teenager Cassey Watson.
The 15-year-old set a record for most races at Brands Hatch in different cars - six and three respectively - at the weekend.
Cassey, of Charity Crescent, Evesham, is studying at home for a degree in motorsport after gaining a scholarship with Loughborough University.
She earned herself her record and a place in the book without even knowing it. "I am very pleased," she said. "I did it in two-and-a-half hours but was not expecting to break any records. The previous holder did five races and was also female but I am much younger than she is."
Cassey drove a Citroen Saxo VTR, a Formula Junior Ginetta and a T Car around the famous circuit.
"It is difficult racing different cars as all cars are different," she said. "Some have front-wheel drives, others have rear-wheel drives, so it isn't an easy thing to achieve."
Cassey is also studying for a sports science degree with Loughborough University and plans a career in motorsport.
