A UNIVERSITY of Worcester graduate is among those to have recently joined a successful Worcestershire firm.

Liam Sargent, who graduated from the university earlier this year with a first-class honour in graphic design and multimedia, has begun his career with his first role as a junior designer at multi-award winning events and communications company, Drp.

During his time at university, Liam took part in various commercial projects including a mock client project, set by the Hartlebury firm as part of his course.

The university graduate said: "I’ve been lucky to work on an array of clients and projects already – ranging from smaller, internal branding projects, to exhibition and event design with our larger clients in finance and automotive.

"Being an entry level, junior designer, there’s not been a limitation set on the projects I’m able to work on and I’ve been able to expand my skillset and knowledge vastly by taking part in all areas of the design process.”

Also joining him at the firm are graduates Dan Spivey and Jake Healey as production assistants.

During university, Dan did work experience at Ocean Studios in Ireland, with a session sound engineer that has worked with U2, Sigur Ros, and Bob Dylan.

Dan make a good impression during work experience last year, and will be working in the firm's video department spending most of his time out with location crews.

Also joining the production in Drpvideo is Jacob Healey, who recently graduated in audio and music technology.

This is Jacob’s first technical services role post university and, as an assistant, his new job involves assisting the video team on projects.

Drp has continual expanded in recent years, now employing 187 specialist professionals in three different UK offices.
