A STRAWBERRY fair took place to celebrate the opening of new social club in a Bromsgrove village.

Those who attended the opening enjoyed cream teas, live music a tombola and had the opportunity to have their faces painted.

Lickey Phab club has been set up at Lickey Parish Hall (The Trinity Centre) to help disabled and non-disabled people aged 14 and above to socialise with the aim of achieving complete inclusion within the wider community.

The club, which has its own tuck shop, meets weekly on Monday nights from 7.30pm till 9.30pm to play games and take part in crafts.

Club Organiser Louise Edgell said: β€œIt is really exciting to have this new club opening and we would like to welcome new members.”

Phab is a National charity dedicated to the integration of people with physical disabilities into the neighbourhood.
