RESIDENTS are being invited to celebrate the 10th anniversary of family friendly music festival Wizzafest.

The festival, held at Stoke Prior Country Club from July 24 to 27, will be raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

There will be live music all weekend with groups such as samba group Someone At The Door, The Random Band, Stuart Bishop and local favourites The Ron Jeremy Band.

Other acts include Dan Sealey (bass player from Ocean Colour Scene) and Adam Barry, and The Blackwell Concert Band.

Since its humble beginnings back in 2004, Wizzafest’s organisers and its passionate followers have raised an astounding £10,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support in Worcestershire and the Wizzafest family plan to raise even more during this year's special milestone event.

A spokesman said that as well as the music there is something for the younger ones too.

"Local Children’s entertainment company dentertainment.co.uk are donating their services for free and creating the D’entertainment arena with a bouncy castle, craft activities, street dance workshops and outdoor garden games," she said.

"As always the idea of the weekend is to have some fun with the family while raising vital money for Macmillan Cancer support."
