STUDENTS at St John’s Middle School in Bromsgrove raised nearly £500 to help bereaved children across North East Worcestershire.

Youngsters in year eight took part in a wig and onesie day in aid of Touchstones, an organisation which was chosen by several pupils at the school who had personally benefited from its support.

Cakes and ice lollies went on sale at break times to help boost donations.

Head of year eight Rachel Bourne said: “We are immensely proud of our pupils who have gone out of their way to fundraise for this valued charity.”
