MEMBERS of the public in Worcestershire are being invited to a fun-filled evening with firefighters, to raise money for three local charities including St Richard’s Hospice.

The Blazing Ball, a black tie event, is the brainchild of two members of staff from the community safety department at Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service.

The ball will be raising money for the Firefighters Charity, St Richard’s Hospice and the Basil D’Oliveira Foundation with the chance for people to dance the night away while helping the three charities.

Watch commander Shaun D’Oliveira said: “We are inviting members of the public to this exciting event as it is a chance to get dressed up, have fun with family and friends and support a worthwhile cause. It promises to be a fun filled night with a three course meal, live music, disco and an auction, all monies raised going to the charities.”

The ball is taking place on Saturday, October 4 at the Bankhouse Hotel in Bransford from 7pm, and tickets are £45 per person.
