AN event to show businesses how to save thousands of pounds every year on heating bills by capturing wasted heat from existing heating systems and other equipment and recirculating it is to be held in Worcester. On Tuesday , March 11, Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce will be staging a free resource efficiency forum at Sanctuary House, headquarters of Sanctuary Group, in Castle Street. Open to members and non members of the Chamber of Commerce, the forum will take place from 8.00am – 10.00am and will include a free continental breakfast.

Visitors will have the opportunity to see and hear about the Sanctuary Group's award winning example of using waste energy from computer servers to heat buildings on site and find out how the capturing of waste heat from industrial paint ovens and other operations can be redistributed for space heating, reducing the need for existing heating systems.

The forum is a platform for a series of quarterly workshops that help businesses save money on utility bills and waste reduction whilst reducing environmental impacts. It is part of the Resource Efficient Worcestershire scheme which is a partnership between Worcestershire County Council and Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce through Worcestershire business Central.
