PEOPLE can heat their homes with green energy thanks to a local company that is moving into the renewables business.

Droitwich-based combustion specialist Nu-way has entered the renewable heating sector by launching a new range of products for homes and business.

Widely recognised throughout the building services and process manufacturing markets for its high-efficiency burner products, the company is marking a major chanage of direction with the launch of its Nu-way range.

The range features a selection of heat pumps, including ground source and air/water models, and wood pellet-fired biomass boilers, along with control systems and storage devices to integrate the products into existing and new heating configurations.

In conjunction with the new products, Nu-way has also established a renewable energy training centre at its Droitwich HQ, which the company describes as a modern facility comprising lecture rooms plus installed, fully operational equipment which provides delegates with the opportunity to obtain practical, hands-on technical and installation experience.

James Sopwith, managing director for Nu-way, said: "We believe our new renewable range offers the very latest in green heating technology for use in domestic and commercial situations.

"We've drawn upon our experience of more than 70 years in the heating and combustion sector to develop these exciting products and believe we can provide a total renewable service with our products, training offering and knowledge.

"The significant investment in our training centre underlines our commitment to the renewable energy sector and we are looking forward to establishing partnerships with heating engineers and installers to provide the end customer with efficient and sustainable energy solutions for the 21st century."

The company says the heat pump and biomass boiler course offers in-depth theory and background of renewable technology and the new product range. It covers not only installation but sizing and setting up the product. Cost for each course is £50 plus VAT for Clearskies-accredited installers and £100 plus VAT for non-accredited ones, rebated on initial product orders.
