A WORCESTERSHIRE law firm has appointed a respected wills and succession planning expert as an associate.
Tom Evans has joined the private client team at Mfg solicitors, which has an office in The Tything, as the department steps up its growth plans across the county.
The 38-year-old, a specialist in the preparation of wills - including wealth and succession planning, has represented clients across the county for almost 10 years and will work closely with partner and departmental head, Valerie Robinson.
Recognised for a niche specialism in intellectual property rights, Mr Evans will also advise clients on lasting powers of attorney, trust creation and complex lifetime settlement agreements.
He is based at the firm’s Adam House headquarters in Kidderminster.
Valerie Robinson, partner and head of mfg’s Private Client division, said: “Tom joins Mfg and the department at an exciting time as we continue to expand our services - adding talent from across the legal profession.
“We are delighted to have him on board.
"He is well known within the legal sector and has an excellent reputation.
"He is already making a difference.”
Mr Evans, who is also an active member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), added: “I joined Mfg because of its excellent and hard-earned reputation.
"The firm’s credentials are widely known so it is hugely exciting to be part of the mfg team at this stage of my career.
“It’s great to be here and I’m very much looking forward to playing my part in the firm’s success in the months and years ahead.”
The appointment of Mr Evans closely follows the associate promotion of wills and probate expert Janna Vigar earlier in the summer.
