A WORCESTERSHIRE law firm has gained several top rankings in this year's s year’s The Legal 500 listing of the major law firms in England and Wales.

The edition, considered the industry bible, has given Thursfields Solicitors 27 lawyer recommendations – up from seven last year.

The firm, which has its head office in Worcester, has a strong tradition of developing its own talent. The Legal 500 has recognised Thursfields’ Tim Edwards, corporate, Lauren Hartigan-Pritchard, insolvency, Hannah Nicholls, family, and John McLean, commercial property, who were selected as being among the region’s leading “next generation lawyers”.

Having launched a charities and not for profit sector offering just last year the team, which boasts five recommended expert lawyers in the guide and is led by Jenny Smith, was delighted to make its debut in Tier 2 for the West Midlands.

Thursfields’ managing director Nick O’Hara said: “This is an outstanding result for the firm and reflects our growing presence in the Midlands as an expanding law practice.

“We are particularly proud of those who gained honourable mentions and believe this year’s Legal 500 provides a barometer reading of our rising presence.”
